Kate is a 29-year-old from north London. She had a bad upbringing living in different care homes throughout her whole childhood. This led her to become a very defensive and secretive person. She went to a state school where he got bad grades because academically she is not very clever - she is very street smart due to her upbringing. She grew up in Edmonton, North London. She moved out when she was 21 to pursue being in the police force. Kate has brunette mid length hair: she's fit due to her job and she is a very ambitious and driven person. Her guilty secret is that she is cheating on her husband with his brother, Anthony. She has a cockney accent and swears often.

Lee Polskor
Lee is a 32-year-old male who grew up in Putney, South West London. He had a good upbringing with his brother Anthony; they went to private school and graduated with good grades. he left home at 18 to work in the Metropolitan police service. He is a detective. He has got a big build, quite tall with brown hair and blue eyes. He is a heavy smoker - however, he loves to play baseball. He is a stubborn and honest person; he is very family orientated. He is reserved and has mood swings. He has a well spoken British accent. He swears a little bit.
Anthony Polskor
Anthony is Lee’s 30-year-old brother who also was raised in Putney. Unlike Lee, Anthony began to associate himself with the wrong crowd at a young age after finding his good upbringing “mundane”. After leaving school at sixteen, he entered a life of drug trafficking providing drugs all over London which resulted in him creating his own gang. His appearance contrasts that of Lee, having a small build, a golden tooth and tattoo of a cross on his right arm. What he lacks in physical strength he makes up for in street smarts and possessing a silver tongue. Due to Anthony and Lee having contradicting career paths, they have kept their distances between them and are not on good terms.

These Police codes were major influences in script and story writing, allowing the writers to use Police terminology giving the show a authentic feel.
187 is the police code for Murder. At first the show was going to be called 419 (the code for dead body found) however, this would give away the story. Therefore, 187 was a better fit.
